Collection Overview — Sākuru サークル

Inspired by Architecture. Defined by Motion.

Sākuru is a contemporary womenswear collection inspired by the Ribbon Chapel in Hiroshima, Japan, designed by Hiroshi Nakamura & NAP Architects.

Two spiral paths wrap around each other to form the chapel — a symbol of connection, unity, and perpetual movement.

Kelly Hsieh translates that same architectural poetry into fashion: structured silhouettes that twist, cross, and flow around the body like moving sculpture.

  • Design Philosophy

Every line in Sākuru follows a purpose — balance, continuity, and strength.
The collection fuses Japanese minimalism with futuristic tailoring, using circular and asymmetrical cuts that reinterpret the architectural ribbon as wearable form.
Each piece invites motion while maintaining sharp precision — an interplay between discipline and freedom.

  • Color + Material Story

Palette: Black · White · Forest Green · Sage · Heather Grey

Textures: Faux leather · Poplin · Tencel knit

Finish: Matte vs Gloss — inspired by the contrast between the chapel’s concrete ribbons and the surrounding natural light.

Metal zippers and polished snaps echo the reflective rhythm of the architecture, grounding the collection in modern craftsmanship.

  • Key Silhouettes

    -Asymmetric pencil and wrap skirts

    -Structured single-breasted jackets

Each design is built to layer, adapt, and express individuality within a cohesive architectural rhythm.
